Welcome to the new PPSA blog – our belated attempt to join the 21st century!

PPSA hopes to use this site to keep you informed about whats going on at Harris; but more importantly, to let you know how we’re spending your Student Fees.

To your right, you will find the PPSA Calendar – complete with a snazzy RSS Feed! – to keep you up-to-date on Harris School events and activities. Its best use, though, is to let you know when and where you can find free food and “beverages,” and so you can plan accordingly.

Up top, you will find the tabs for About PPSA, where you can learn more about who we are and what we do; Documents, which contain helpful resources for HSOs; Ombudsman, so you can send your complaints about the printers, mouse traps, and anything else you can think of; and PPSA Social, with more detailed information on Harris School social events.

We hope to update this site regularly, so please check back here often. If you have any suggestions of things to add to the site, please add comments below or email me at ydoron@uchicago.edu. Thanks.

PPSA Elections

Hello all! Last week PPSA held its annual first year representative elections. Voter turnout was fairly high with about 2/3 of first years voting. After the first round of voting all positions, but one had been decided. After a tie for the Career Services Representative position, we held a run-off election to determine a final winner. In the end, these are the new PPSA officers:

Secretary-General: Aamna Shah

Academic Representative: Susan Edwards

Auction Representative: Brittany Gifford

Budget Representative: Jeff Ruff

Career Services Representative: Matt Smith

Social Representative: Valerie Dao

Congratulations to all of our new officers and a big thank you to all the candidates who participated!
